YES:
Dimensional Lumber such as 2x4s, wood planks, wafer board, plywood, and pallets
Fenceposts (not oil treated or dipped)
Un-usable furniture, shelves, cabinets
NO:
Railroad ties (if they're in good shape, they can be placed aside for salvage. Please ask staff to inspect them and give further directions.
Wood treated with PCP (pentachlorophenol), creosote, or chromated arsenicals
*Please let Transfer Station staff know if you have pressure-treated wood. Some pressure-treated wood cannot go in the wood pile.
The wood pile is available for salvage every Friday. Wood that isn't salvaged is chipped annually. The chips are used onsite as road cover during the winter. Wood chips that can't be used on-site or otherwise diverted are added to the construction and demolition landfill.
Salvage Days are every Friday from 8 am - 2:30 pm.
Sorted Waste is $.0075/LB ($15/TON) with a minimum fee of $2
