NO Magazines

Magazines are NOT recyclable in Teton County, Idaho. 

WHY?
Magazine pages contain plastic, which gives them a shiny coating. The recycling company that Teton County, Idaho sends paper to does not accept paper that contains plastic. This includes glossy mailers and glossy advertisements. 

What can I do to reduce waste from magazines and junk mail?

• Magazines are recyclable in Teton County, Wyoming. 

• Ask teachers if they would like old educational magazines. 

• Consider subscribing to online versions of your favorite magazine or checking out a magazine at Valley of the Tetons Library. 

• Call the businesses that send you junk mail and ask to get off their mailing lists. 

• Make collages.
