NO Envelopes with Windows

Envelopes with "Windows" are NOT recyclable in Teton County, Idaho. 

WHY?
The window on an envelope is made of plastic, which contaminates the paper recycling load. 

What can I do to reduce waste from envelopes with windows?

• Remove the window and any associated adhesive. Put the window in the trash and the remaining paper in the paper recycling. 

• Call businesses that send you junk mail and ask to get off their mailing lists. 

• Opt-in to online billing when possible.
