WHY?
Teton County, Idaho, accepts aluminum cans for recycling but does NOT accept other types of aluminum. This is because the high temperatures required to melt aluminum cans during the recycling process would incinerate materials like foil or pie plates. Furthermore, these items are often coated in grease, which can contaminate an entire batch of recyclables.
